What silly thing gives you chills?

Is it shoe shopping?  Can you not have enough purses?  Does an ice cream or bagel shop have you searching for a parking spot?
I'm not a big shopper, unless I'm in Lowe's.  I can wander up and down those aisles for ever....mmmmm....the smell of freshly cut lumber.  And I rarely throw away a piece of lumber of any size....you never know how it can be used.

Same with fabric.  When I'm waiting the half hour for guitar lessons, the fabric store is right next door.  I can wander up and down the aisles of the store for far longer than 25 minutes.

I used to sew a lot.  I'm very lucky; my mom taught me to sew before I remember learning how to do it.  I made my own clothes for years; now that I wear mostly tshirts and jeans, I don't do that anymore.

Now I stick with quicker and more fun things like curtains and pillows, and love to wander the aisles dreaming of projects.

Blue and yellow....sort of what I want for my office, but a little too bold....

Ooohhh...this one is pretty is blue, turquoise and yellow.....

Red...I'm a sucker for red, but there's no more room for red in my house....

Oooh....another pretty one...but stuck in red...

....and and this one would be a fun starting point for a bright kids room...
....but nothing in this lot that suits what I need right now.  And I still have fabric waiting for projects yet undone.   And I did walk away from a fun furry paw print fabric that I think would be awesome to cuddle up with this winter.

I did pick up a great deal on some lovely off-white fabric from the remnant pile: 6 yards for $18!  It is currently draped somewhere in the house.  We'll see what comes of that.  White/off white is not my normal, but I think it's going to be a nice, subtle change!

Now back to my office to have a place to work on something!  That is where I need to spend my time right now....and stay away from the lumber and fabric!
