But anyway, that's what I'm doing! I just broke down and ordered the Cricut mini, and once the power-outage snowstorm passed, I started playing with it. It comes with enough letters and shapes to get going, so I wanted to jump in with a first project.
I didn't really know what I'd use it for, but now ideas are popping up; I wish I had it last week to help with titles for the science fair project!
Right now, I'm all about Easter. I love Easter. I love everything about it. So this will probably be the first of many Easter posts to come in the next few weeks.
Back to the Cricut: I started with simple letters:
I wanted egg shapes, but only had circles available. It was easy, though, to take the circles and elongate them to make the egg shapes.
Letters were added to egg shapes. I had some of the Easter paper left over from the crafts blocks crafts, so I used those for "spacers".
I was going to make a banner with some string, but we decided that a simple used of tape on the mantel was just as cute!
I'm very happy with my first Cricut craft! It was very easy to use the online software to make the shapes and letters I wanted. I can't wait to do my next project!
Happy....Cricuting! (Cricut-eering? Cricut-ting?)
