What's on your mantel?

Our family room fireplace has a built-in area for a television above it. It makes it easy to know where to put the tv, but then again, hard to decorate your mantel. So I'm looking for ideas....and getting addicted to the search/file options on www.houzz.com!  So here goes:

 I love this one for it's simplicity with a pop of WOW. 
 

 

But for now, we have this: Yes, the Halloween decorations have already been pulled out, so we're going with the seasonal/orange theme already. 

I love the white molding around the fireplace, and am torn between keeping the simplicity and not covering it up, but also needing to add "something" colorwise...

For now, I'm stuck. But hopefully with more browsing and ideas, I'll have something in mind to work with. By that time, we'll move from Halloween decorations to Christmas, so I have plenty of time!
