Pumpkin crafts!

This past 10 days we have all been blessed with a seasonal cold/allergy combination that has taken us out at various times; I'm always the lucky one that can't get over it, and end up on drugs to kick a sinus infection.  So me and my infected self have spend the better part of the last 2.5 days doing much of nothing physical or painting or diy'ing, so let's bring on the internet surfing!   Yesterday it was mantels; today, halloween and pumpkin ideas to get ready.

Last year I was just getting started with Pinterest.  I found the cutest Halloween pumpkin ideas, but much too late to plan and execute.  This is year I'm planning ahead, and here are some great ideas to get going.  I love to use fake pumpkins from the local craft stores as they keep from year to year.  Sitting here looking at our fireplace and mantel, I count 17 pumpkins we've collected over a few years.  Some have little more than a crayon mark or two on them, but they tell their own story of years when little hands decorated their own pumpkin for the first time....definitely a keeper.

But for this year's adds, here goes:

This is just too cute: Must put gauze bandages and some googly eyes on my shopping list....

This one is lovely, but I would pull out my drill and drill little holes all around for added interest:

And another one to get my drill into: I love crafts that include power tools:

So many projects, but what I love it that these projects are not time intensive or expensive!  Now to go scout out some great sales for faux pumpkins, and we'll be on our way.
