Done, but not finished....

Well, I can cross this "to-do" off my list, but it's probably not done. The good news? I only spent $7. The 'ehhhh' news? I'm don't love them. I've struggled with how to dress the family room windows since we moved here. I finally took down the curtains we were left with; I replaced those with the simple valences above.  I tired of the green everywhere, so when I saw this fabric last week, I thought I would try something new.

I love the brown/brown stripes.  I don't love the curtains.

I've tried tucking on the ends.....

....tucking in the middle and further out on the ends.....and I'm still "ehhhh" over the curtains.

 

We've tried drapes to the floor, but none of the three of us liked that at all in this room.

 

So I'm wondering....do we just ditch the valences altogether? It feels weird right now without them, but I'm wondering if it would grow on me. 

 

So: Long drapes: no.

Valences: too green

Valences #2: ehhh.

Plain: undecided...

 

So technically I can cross this to-do #3 off my list.  As usual, it's still going to be work in progress. 

 

So...what do you think? Curtains, valences, or leave it plain?
