Ahhhh....I can't wait for next week!

This flooring has consumed me for the past week, and it feels in reality like a lot longer than that. I'm not finished, but I can see the light.  Finishing touches can take a while, but they really, well, finish it.  And I made it by my deadline to host 15-20 of my closest youth friends for a Superbowl party, so I'm psyched.  It also bears mentioning that I only had one visit to the ER in this whole project!  Woo-hoo!

So. What now you might ask? Well, that's where I get excited.  Big projects are fun because they make a big impact. I like that.  They also make a big impact in your daily schedule, which means not much else gets done.  I have a million other projects rumbling around in my head I want to get to; a lot of other thoughts I want to share; lists I need to prioritize to see what should be tackled first (see, the football jargon is still creeping in there!).

I want to make a pictorial to-do list, and that will require some ugly, keeping-it-real type of  pictures.   Like how bad my workspace really still looks; how horrible the piles are in the garage where we need a storage unit built; how the guest bedroom has turned into a fort/play/nerf battle/basketball court; how my office/craft closet has exploded and isn't very pretty or inspiring for my next project attempt; how I want to transform a boring never used dining room into a fun, usable family space for everything from crafts to Lego's....and an occasional meal.

Oh: and how I have a new business venture on the way also, once I can make it to my office space in all the mess.   I'll share more here soon, when I actually have something to show you.

And my thoughts on DIY: Why do I DIY? Why should YOU DIY?  And what about orange...how do you feel about orange as a color?

And then there's Valentine's Day: do you celebrate? Why or why not? We don't usually, but will celebrate BIG this year....more on that later.

All that excitement, and more, coming to a blog, hey this blog, shortly.

Have a restful weekend, OK?  I have some quarter round with my name on it.
