This is what you would call a "problem area"....

bit fat mess

 I knew it was a problem.  But until today, I didn't know quite what to do with it to make it a "solution".

For a decent sized house (not huge, but definitely larger than three people need), this is the only closet space we have on the first floor.  It has to hold coats, shoes, backpack, dog leashes, outside toys, cleaning supplies, mops, games and more;  I do have some ceramic pots by the door I like to throw some things in, but unless you want puppy teeth marks on them, don't leave your good shoes or hats there. 

So I've wrestled with this until T.O.D.A.Y when I got my hair cut! Woohoo for hair cuts!  No, they really don't go together, but I did have a few minutes to leaf through the January issue of Better Homes and Gardens Magazine and found the perfect solution!  So this project is moving up on my list to to-dos, just as soon as I get the rest of the Christmas stuff out of the way and can make room for this mess while I paint and redo this space.

**update: Went to the store yesterday with the magazine on my list....came home without the magazine even though it was written down on my list.  Back today. Hopefully I'll come home with it this time. Or with a coconut or something (oh wait...that's another story....)**
