I'm so dizzy....my head is spinning....

Sound familiar? Do you get too many projects going and just can't figure out what to do next, even before you finished one project (or half-way finished) it; you're moving on to the next, and have a batch of unfinished projects you just can't get to? Please tell me you get this!

So 1) I have the unfinished hutch in the basement I really need in the dining room to see how that is going to affect layout; 2) unfinished cabinet that is o.r.a.n.g.e and I need to brainstorm a fix for that; 3) got one really cool curtain hung Friday, but not before I fell off the dining room table, crashing everything around me. so add 4) repair the dining room table while you're at it; 5) back to making curtains for the living room and kitchen so I can make pillows out of the fabric in the kitchen currently; and 6) a MOPS meeting this week that I'm working on a craft that I need to test out.

So we as a family did what any normal people would do in this situation: we decided we needed to gut the basement space before we host a large youth group party for the Super Bowl.  (Yes I realized this appears no where on the recent needing to-do lists; that's how we roll).  So carpet is pulled up, tile is being banged up, carpet on steps (gross carpet bye-bye!) will be gone pending painting; See this cool painted idea on my ideas page  for turning grossly carpeted steps to painted wonders.  All to build what my 8yo is calling his "football man cave" for now.

So....I have ordered the new floor (cork) and will go into why we picked that later.  Have to wait a week for it to be delivered, which will give me just about time to read the installations instructions and panic a bit before it's time to install and panic again wondering if I can get this done before SB time. I have three weeks, I think, (one to wait, one to panic, one to work). Yep, I should be ok.

The best part?  Handing your son a sharp knife, heavy hammers and mallets and say hack away at anything you see here....he was in pure joy mode, and worked really hard.  I win the cool mom award for letting him tear apart the basement and whack at things with a heavy mallet. It was cool.  And honestly, he was a huge help.

Welcome to a new week!  Happy Martin Luther King Day!
