Measure Twice, Cut Once.....think Thrice!

Yes, that's right, I used the word "Thrice" in a post title.

I tend to put off projects, and then just in with both feet, really fast, like jumping into the deep end from the high dive before you change your mind.

This project is like that.  I wanted to start, so I started. Cutting. Drilling. Attaching. Great progress....I had my box put together.

Problem was, it was no where near the measurements I needed.  I think the size I had in my head was  from research I had done on store bought cabinets, and not to fit the door I had.  Bummer.

So I only wasted a little bit of wood, but with the cost of wood, that's not something you want to do very often!

So: Think three times, measure twice, cut once.  And save time.  So here are the new marks, and I start again.  But aren't those gorgeous pocket holes??

So instead of a great new cabinet, today's post is a lesson.  To myself.
Measure. Cut. Plan. Save.

At least everything I'm using is reused from an old project, so if it does get done, it will be 100% free!!
